Dreiburgenland

The baroque Schaerding

One of Austria’s most beautiful baroque cities is Schaerding which is located directly at the river Inn. Have a stroll through the picturesque old town with its charming houses and mysterious alleys.

Schaerding’s cultural scene is various and vivid. The central venue is Kubin Hall at the palace garden. Alfred Kubin, a well-known Austrian painter, illustrator and author, lived for decades in Schaerding. Today Kubin Hall is used mainly for cultural events such as concerts and lectures. Besides theatre and cabaret, you can enjoy Schaerding’s cultural life in one of the numerous markets.
